SOUL FOOD restaurant was founded in Valletta on 27th July 2013 in the historical Merchant Street behind the Grand Master’s Palace. The philosophy of soul food is based on the belief that OUR BODY IS PART OF NATURE SO IF THE FOOD YOU EAT IS NOT ARTIFACT, IS EASY KEEP THE BODY HEALTHY. Food for us means nourishment of BODY and SOUL.
We choose our ingredients carefully and prepare every plate freshly on order. We also offer plates specially designed for people with food intolerances and celiac.
Our mission is to create a place for EVERYONE, combining regional Italian food with a vegan and vegetarian line; a place where food, soul, and wellbeing come together and where the relaxing atmosphere and soul food team create the scenography.
We lovingly create a SELECTION of DISHES: homemade VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS BURGER, FRESH EGG PASTAS, WHOLE WHEAT PASTAS, RAW SALADS, AYURVEDIC DISHES, WONDERFUL BUDDHA BOWLS and artisan CAKES paired with refreshing SMOOTHIES or ORGANIC SOFT DRINK.
We also do homemade ” the PIADINA”, a thin bread of Italian tradition, kneaded by us, flattened with a rolling pin, baked and stuffed when ordering.
SOUL FOOD BISTRO, has also a detour on the magnificent merchant street and you can sit outside for your lunch, your brunch or for your little break whilst sipping ORGANIC WINE and CRAFT BEER.
